You wouldn't think that what you put your speakers on would make a difference to the sound of your speakers but it does! A good quality pair of speaker stands can improve the responsiveness of your speakers by helping to stablise the speaker and by providing a solid base for the speaker to resonate off, thats why top quality construction makes all the difference!
The base plate and top plate of these stands feature heavy duty 3mm steel and each stand has 3 large tubular supports. Audiophiles will be pleased to know that the two smaller tubes can be filled with lead shot or sand to make the stand even more harmonically stable, just make sure that you seal the bottom of the stand with an appropriete sealant first. The large rear vertical tube has holes in the top and bottom to accomodate almost any gauge speaker wire that you can think of.
Additionally, each speaker stand comes with four solid steel cone shaped feet to ground the stands firmly to the floor. These can also be removed for applications on polished wooden floors although the team here at MegaMounts recommends that you use some rubber or felt floor savers when doing this.
